The general interest and resume submission form for the development of the Ministries representing the building blocks of an independent society follows the text below.
INTRODUCTION TO THE MINISTRIES
A Ministry is a collective executive. It is responsible for providing public service in a specialized field of government, led by a senior public servant known as “minister”. The verb ‘minister’ is from a Latin word meaning “to serve”. The noun ‘minister’ refers to one who provides a service as an agent of a higher authority. Ministries afford or give things needed by the people to help sustain an acceptable quality of life in the society they serve. They are the practical means through which every member of the society receives freedom, justice and equality in his or her daily life and their existence insures a cohesive, flourishing society that improves and advances, generation after generation, toward the ultimate goal of complete freedom, justice and equality for all persons, regardless of creed or class or color.
At the core of our quest for freedom, justice and equality are the 40-60 million Black people in America whose ancestors were kidnapped and forced into chattel slavery for 310 years, followed by another century of oppressive and debilitating system of laws and practices known as ‘Jim Crow’ and who, in 2015, continue to wear the badge of slavery.
The members of this group of people are the descendants of those described in Article l, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution as “three-fifths” of a person for purposes of determining the population of a state for legislative purposes. They are the “emancipated” slaves for whom the so-called Reconstruction Amendments to the U.S. Constitution were specifically designed. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, or “involuntary servitude”, with the exception that it is lawful to enslave one as punishment for a crime. The 14th Amendment declares that everyone born in the United States is a citizen. Only Black people born in the United States were not citizens prior to this amendment. The 15th Amendment grants Black men the right to vote. None of these Amendments have ever been fully enforced by Congress.
The time has come for us to demand, within the borders of the continental United States, sufficient land, sufficient resources and sufficient latitude to govern ourselves as a nation within a nation.
We begin with the establishment of the core ministries. Broad descriptions of these ministries are as follows:
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
This Ministry bears responsibility for assisting the individual member of the community in the process of heeding truth and right guidance. Respect, honor and obedience to the Authority of the Creator in all aspects of life are essential to peace, harmony, freedom, justice and equality. In the words of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrkhan: “…Self-development is an absolutely essential component of this microcosm of the new world. It is not enough that we grow horizontally through the acquisition of farms, factories, banks, industry, trade, commerce, money, good homes…horizontal growth alone is death. All dead things are on a horizontal level. Therefore, we must grow vertically: grow in uprightness, or we will be overcome by our horizontal growth.” The foundation of this ministry are study and training units, “…designed on the Guidance of Allah(God) to produce: self-examination; self-analysis; self-correction and to quicken in each of us, the self-accusing Spirit. For it is only when we are awakened morally that we have to face the self-accusing spirit that leads to our resurrection.” (see, Letter of Introduction : Self-Improvement: the Basis for Community Development, December 12, 1986.)
